Unit Converter Pro ("the App") is developed and maintained by Koopware ("we", "us", or "our"). This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App.
The short version: Unit Converter Pro requires zero device permissions, stores all data locally on your device, and never uploads your conversions or personal information to any server.
Information We Collect
Data Stored Locally
The following data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party:
- Recent conversions — Your conversion history (up to 50 entries)
- Favourite conversions — Unit pairs you have saved for quick access
- App preferences — Theme selection (light, dark, or system)
Data Collected by Third-Party Services
The free version of Unit Converter Pro displays a small banner advertisement. The following third-party advertising service is used:
- Start.io (StartApp) — may collect anonymous device identifiers for ad personalisation. Start.io Privacy Policy
This service may collect anonymous, non-personal device information (such as device type, operating system version, and anonymous advertising identifiers) solely for the purpose of serving relevant advertisements. No personally identifiable information is shared.
Device Permissions
Unit Converter Pro requires zero device permissions. The App does not access your camera, microphone, location, contacts, files, or any other device capability.
Data Storage & Security
All app data is stored locally on your device using standard platform storage mechanisms. We do not operate any servers or cloud infrastructure for this App. Your data remains entirely under your control.
Your Rights
You have full control over your data at all times:
- Clear recents — Use the delete button on the Recents tab to clear conversion history
- Remove favourites — Tap the close button on any saved favourite to remove it
- Reset preferences — Clearing the App's data through your device settings will reset all preferences
- Delete all data — Uninstalling the App removes all associated data from your device
Children's Privacy
Unit Converter Pro is a general-audience utility application. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
