MedMinder ("the App") is developed and maintained by Koopware ("we", "us", or "our"). This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App.
The short version: MedMinder stores all medication data locally on your device. Your health information is never uploaded to any server or shared with any third party.
Information We Collect
Data Stored Locally
The following data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party:
- Medication data — Your medication names, dosages, schedules, and reminder settings
- Adherence history — Your medication check-in records and history
- App preferences — Theme selection, notification settings, and display preferences
Data Collected by Third-Party Services
The free version of MedMinder displays a small banner advertisement. The following third-party advertising service is used:
- Start.io (StartApp) — may collect anonymous device identifiers for ad personalisation. Start.io Privacy Policy
This service may collect anonymous, non-personal device information (such as device type, operating system version, and anonymous advertising identifiers) solely for the purpose of serving relevant advertisements. No personally identifiable information or health data is shared.
Device Permissions
MedMinder may request permission to send notifications for medication reminders. This permission is optional — the App functions without it but reminder alerts will be unavailable. No other permissions are required.
Data Storage & Security
All app data is stored locally on your device using standard platform storage mechanisms. We do not operate any servers or cloud infrastructure for this App. Your health data remains entirely under your control and never leaves your device.
Your Rights
You have full control over your data at all times:
- Delete medications — Remove individual medications and their history within the App
- Reset preferences — Clearing the App's data through your device settings will reset all preferences
- Delete all data — Uninstalling the App removes all associated data from your device
Children's Privacy
MedMinder is a general-audience utility application. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
