Envelop ("the App") is developed and maintained by Koopware ("we", "us", or "our"). This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App.

The short version: Envelop requires zero device permissions, stores all financial data locally on your device, and never uploads your budget information or personal data to any server.

Information We Collect

Data Stored Locally

The following data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party:

  • Budget data — Your envelopes, expense entries, income records, and budget categories
  • App preferences — Theme selection, currency, and display settings
  • Premium status — Whether you have purchased the ad-free upgrade

Data Collected by Third-Party Services

The free version of Envelop displays a small banner advertisement. The following third-party advertising service is used:

This service may collect anonymous, non-personal device information (such as device type, operating system version, and anonymous advertising identifiers) solely for the purpose of serving relevant advertisements. No personally identifiable information is shared.

Device Permissions

Envelop requires zero device permissions. The App does not access your camera, microphone, location, contacts, files, or any other device capability.

In-App Purchases

Envelop offers an optional "Remove Ads" purchase. This transaction is processed entirely by the app store (Amazon Appstore or Huawei AppGallery). We do not collect, store, or have access to any payment information.

Data Storage & Security

All app data is stored locally on your device using standard platform storage mechanisms. We do not operate any servers or cloud infrastructure for this App. Your financial data remains entirely under your control and never leaves your device.

Your Rights

You have full control over your data at all times:

  • Delete entries — Remove individual expenses, envelopes, or budget categories within the App
  • Reset preferences — Clearing the App's data through your device settings will reset all preferences
  • Delete all data — Uninstalling the App removes all associated data from your device

Children's Privacy

Envelop is a general-audience utility application. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
